Shoney's Country Fried Steak (clone)
Shoney's Country Fried Steak (clone)
3 cups water
2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
4 4 oz cube steaks
1-1/2 tbsp ground beef
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Watkins Pepper
Put water in a medium bowl. Stir together flour, salt and pepper in another bowl. Dip steaks in water, then in flour mixture. Repeat. Lay coated steaks on a sheet of waxed paper and freeze for 3 hours. Deep fry at 350ยบ 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Stir in flour, then other ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer until thick. Serve over steaks.
