Frosted Peanut Cookies

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup chopped salted peanuts

For The Frosting:

1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup milk

In a large bowl, cream the butter and the brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in the oats and peanuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. In a large bowl, beat the frosting ingredients until smooth. Frost the cookies. Makes 5 dozen
