SWEET AND SALTY PARTY MIX
(makes 2 large cookie sheets)

1 large bag m & m's
1 bag Fritos (9.7 oz.)
1 box Crispix or Chex cereal
1 can nuts( 1 lb. optional)
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
2 c. brown sugar

Combine butter, syrup and brown sugar and boil for 2 minutes. Combine Fritos, cereal and nuts in large bowl. Pour boiled mixture over cereal mix and mix well. Spread onto 2 large cookie sheets and bake @ 325 for 7 minutes. Let cool and then add m & m's. Store in an airtight container. I just made this for Halloween and used candy corn instead of m & m's. at holidays use the appropriate color m & m's to be festive! (Easter, Christmas, Valentines day!) I fill decorative jars or tins and give as gifts. Enjoy!
