Double Chocolate Cookies
1 1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet
chocolate chips
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and the vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto the greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool for 2 minutes before removing from the pans to wire racks. Makes about 9 dozen
