Peanut Chip Candy
Peanut Chip Candy
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch flavor chips
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups crushed potato chips
1 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
Line 8- or 9-inch square pan with foil.
In heavy saucepan over medium heat melt butterscotch chips with sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter. Cook, stirring until chips are melted and all ingredients are blended. Remove from heat. Add potato chips and nuts, mix well. Press into prepared pan. Chill.
Turn candy onto cutting board, peel off foil, and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Makes about 2 pounds.
