Quick 'n Chewy Crescent Bars
Quick 'n Chewy Crescent Bars
1 cup flaked or shredded coconut
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 can (8 oz. refrigerated crescent dinner
rolls or 1 can (8 oz.) crescent recipe
creations refrigerated flaky dough sheet
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
(not evaporated)
Heat the oven to 400 F. In a medium bowl, mix the coconut, brown sugar, flour, and pecans. With a pastry blender or fork, cut in the butter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Set aside. If using crscent rolls, unroll the dough into 2 long rectangles. Place in an ungreased 15 x 10 inch baking pan. Press in the bottom of the pan. Firmly press the perforations to seal. If using the dough sheet, unroll the dough. Cut into 2 long rectangles. Place in an ungreased 15 x 10 inch baking pan. Gently press the dough to cover the bottom of the pan. Pour the condensed milk evenly over the dough. Spread to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Sprinkle the coconut mixture over the condensed milk. Press lightly. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until
