Blonde Butterscotch Brownies
Blonde Butterscotch Brownies
2 cups flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
4 Heath candy bars (1.4 oz. each)
coarsely chopped
In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir into the dry ingredients just until combined. The Batter Will Be Thick. Spread into a 13 x 9 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with the chocolate chunks and the chopped candy bars. Press gently into the batter. Bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen bars
