BEEF AND MUSHROOM PIZZA
BEEF AND MUSHROOM PIZZA

Ingredients
1/2 pound Laura’s 92% Lean Ground Beef or 96% Lean Ground Round
1/2 small onion, chopped
1/2 red pepper, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 cup pizza sauce
1/2 (24-ounce) refrigerated pizza crust
1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
11/4 cups shredded reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
Directions
1. Cook beef, onion, red pepper and garlic in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until beef is browned; drain.
2. Spread sauce over pizza crust. Top with beef mixture, mushrooms, basil and cheese.
3. Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Cooking Tip: You can use roasted red peppers for added flavor or add the regular red peppers at the end for more crunchy added texture. Top with classic pizza seasonings – dried oregano, fresh Parmesan cheese or crushed red pepper.
