ALABAMA MUD
3/4 c. sifted all-purpose
flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. melted butter or oleo
1/4 c. cocoa
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. chopped pecans or
walnuts
2 c. (4 oz.) miniature
marshmallows

Mix together all ingredients except the nuts and marsh-
mallows. Place in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan and top with nuts.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and
cover with marshmallows. Place under the broiler for 1 to 2
minutes, just until the marshmallows soften slightly. Remove
and cover with the icing.

Icing:
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat all together until smooth. Do not cook. Spread on
warm cake carefully so as not to disturb the marshmallow
topping.
