pie crust for a 2 crust pie
6 or 7 tart apples
1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
CRUMBLE TOPPING:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firm butter
Mix till crumbly
Prepare pastry as directed but roll 1 inch larger than a medium size pizza pan. Ease the crust into the pan and flute the edges. Pare and cut apples in eighths. Beginning at edge of crust and overlapping apples - cover crust with apples. Sprinkle the cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg mixture. Then top with the crumble topping. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 450 until edges are browned and apples are tender and bubbly.
