1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 squares (1 ounce each) semi-sweet
chocolate, melted and cooled
2 3/4 cups flour
1/3 cup ground cinnamon ***
In a large bowl, cream the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and the chocolate. Combine the flour anf the cinnamon. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Mix well. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for one hour or until easy to handle. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it is 1/4 inch thick. Cut with a floured 2-inch star shaped cookie cutter. Place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Chill and re-roll the scraps if desired. Bake at 350 for 9-11 or until the edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes 5 dozen depending on size of cookie cutter
