Caramel-Peanut Butter Apples
Caramel-Peanut Butter Apples
Serves: 5 • Prep time: 20 min • Chill time: 1 hour
•5 medium apples, stems removed
•5 craft sticks
•1 package (14 oz.) caramels, unwrapped
•1/4 cup Skippy Super Chunk or Creamy Peanut Butter
•2 Tbsp. water
1.Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil, then spray with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Insert craft stick into top of each apple; set aside.
2.In 2-quart microwave-safe bowl, microwave remaining ingredients HIGH 2 minutes or until caramels are melted; stir until smooth.
3.Quickly dip apples in hot caramel mixture, spooning mixture over apples until well coated. On prepared cookie sheet, arrange apples. Refrigerate 1 hour or until caramel is set.
TIP: Roll caramel-coated apples, if desired, in chopped peanuts or mini chocolate chips before refrigerating.
