crock pot sour dough bread

Sourdough starter
1 package active dry yeast
1/2 c lukewarm water
2 c lukewarm water
2 c flour
1 T sugar
1 t salt
in glass or crockery container, dissolve yeast in 1/2 c lukewarm water. Add remaining ingredients and stir well with a wooden or plastic spoon until smooth. Cover with a towel and let stand for 3 to 5 days at room temp. Sir 2 or 3 times daily. To store, cover and refrigerate. About 4 c starter

Sourdough Bread
1 package active dry yeast
3/4 c arm water
1 t sugar
1/2 c sourdough starter
1 t salt
21/2 to 2 3/4 c four
1/4 t baking soda

soften yeast in the warm water. blend in sugar and let stand 10 minutes. stir in sourdough starter and salt. add 1 1/2 cups of the flous and beat with an electric mixer for 3 to 4 minutes. Mix 1 c of the flour with soda and stir into batter. Add remaining flour, if needed to make a stiff dough.

grease hands and shape dough into load (dough will be slightly stick). Places in well-greased Bread 'n Bake bake pan (Accessory for crock pot) cover. Place in Crock pot. cover and bake on high setting for 2 to 3 hours.

remove pan and uncover. let stand for 5 minutes. unmold on cake rack, brush crush with butter and serve warm
