Chocolate Cookies

1 1/4 cups soft butter
1 egg
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt

Cream together the butter and the sugar. Beat in the egg. Add the flour, cocoa, and salt. Mix well. Chill the dough for three hours. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the cookie sheet and cool on the wire racks. Frost and decorate or eat just plain.
