Venison Roast Byrd Style Empty Venison Roast Byrd Style

1 large venison roast
2 or 3 onions-sliced
1 can onion soup- not powder kind
2 cans beef consumme
salt and pepper to taste.

Wash roast to make sure it is clean. Remove any sliver skin on it. Place roast in large crockpot. Add onions, soup, and consumme. Cook on low overnight. You can add veggies if you wish.

This makes a great roast. It makes even better sandwiches. We shred the meat. Take good sub buns, cheese, sometimes sauted onions, peppers, and mushrooms and put them together. Broil in the oven until the cheese is melted and serve.

If I add veggies I add greenbeans, carrots, potatoes, and have added a can of diced tomatoes.
