Cauliflower in Blanket

(Exact translation from Czech would be - in bath robe)



1 Cauliflower cut up into flowerets

1 Russet Potato cooked, peeled and grated

1 ½ Cup warm milk

1 Cup flour – the bread machine type

2 Eggs

Salt/Pepper

Oil for frying

= Sauce =

4 TBSP Sour Cream

1 ½ TBSP Mayonnaise

½ Red Onion – chopped very fine

1 Green Onion – chopped very fine

1 Dill Pickle – grated

Salt/pepper to taste – all mixed well.



Cauliflower is cooked to an al dente stage than shocked in ice water, and let drip dry in colander before batter dipping.

In bowl mix Eggs, grated Potato, warm milk and flour into a batter.

Batter should be of consistency of a thick pancake mix.

Dried Cauliflower is dipped in a batter, than fried in oil until golden.

Is usually served with sauce, home fries or rice 6 to 8 pcs per serving.
